Recently there's been a few events that transpired with someone on biogram leaving the community. I'm not sure if he want's his name mentioned so I'll avoid using it here, but it's not who he is that matters here, it's his reason for leaving.
It's a reason I haven't heard before. Most times people leave saying their "life is too busy" or "they've lost interest/grown out of LEGO". But this person in particular had a rather thought provoking reason.
The TLDR of it was that he found himself so wound up in other people's approval, his followers approval of his MOCs, that he found himself building for the followers and not for himself.
Hearing this has made a few people stop to question their motivations for MOCing. How much of it is for your own enjoyment and how much is to get likes and comments and praise from others? Don't get me wrong, receiving prais
